Water-based ink manufacturers talk about the wide range of uses of water-based inks
With the improvement of people's living standards and health, the pursuit of low toxicity, environmental protection, and healthy products, the market for water-based ink manufacturers has undergone certain changes. The water-based market is gradually improving. At present, water-based inks are mainly flexible and gravure printing. Most of the food packaging, tobacco and alcohol, and children's toys occupy a considerable market. About 95% of flexible printing and gravure printing in the United States and Europe are water-based, while China currently accounts for only 3%.

In the printing field, in order to eliminate the VOC (low boiling point organic compounds) released by solvent-based inks, that is, to meet the requirements of EPA to reduce or eliminate VOCs, chemical engineers have continuously developed high solids. Divided into coatings, powder coatings, UV-curable coatings, water-based coatings, etc., these inks have greatly reduced VOC emissions, and some even eliminated VOC emissions.
Composition of water-based ink
Water-based inks are made from water-based resins, pigments, solvents and additives through compound processing and grinding. The water-soluble resin mainly acts as a binder in the ink, and the pigment particles are evenly dispersed, so that the ink has a certain fluidity, and the adhesion to the substrate material is generated, so that the ink forms a uniform film layer after printing.
